On behalf of Artwalk 2008 artists, hosts, volunteers, and staff, we’d like to personally invite you to our 7th annual juried art show on September 5-6! There are so many things to see and do—patrons should plan in advance for the full experience! Here’s a rundown of everything that should be on your list. Enjoy!

1.    The Program: First things first: Pick up Black & White’s August 21 edition for a program listing of every artist and location with a fantastic map of the district. Or visit our website to preview all the artists’ images and bios.

2.    The Artists: More than 100 local and regional artists in all mediums will move in to more than 40 businesses and lofts for Friday and Saturday. Paintings, ceramics, photographs, sculpture, jewelry and more will all be for sale. Find the piece you’ve been looking for and 10 more you didn’t know you needed. Throughout the neighborhood you’ll find galleries and resident artists and see where the pioneers of the loft district live and work.

3.    The Neighborhood: Wear comfortable shoes and walk the 6-plus blocks of the loft and design districts. Walk along Morris Avenue, 1st Avenue North, and 2nd Avenue North between 22nd and 25th Streets to see 45 artist hosts, galleries, restaurants, and bars to visit.

4.    The Performers: Continuing our tradition of showcasing local musicians and performance artists, 2008 brings you one outdoor performance stages, spoken word, and a multitude of street performers. PLUS Only 2 more chances to get your scooter raffle tickets... a $5 donation now could save you thousands of gas pump dollars in the years to come! Special thanks to Magic City Motor Scooters for their sponsorship of this awesome fundraiser.
