Artwalk 2016 Location: Philip Griffith Photography Studio, 2325 1st Avenue North
I started my art career with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Kent State University and worked as an Art Director in major cities such as Chicago, Washington, DC, and Cincinnati. I own and operate a studio where I create my fine art and also teach art and photography classes. It was through teaching that I was able to explore many different creative avenues. My work is shown and collected around the world. My focus has been creating tiny paintings that are no larger than 1.25 inches in diameter. I have had a love of all things miniature since I was a child and enjoy applying my skills and imagination to create these tiny yet intricate works of art covering an infinite variety of subject matter. I use a variety of mediums such as pencils, watercolors, oils, and gouache to create my realistic miniatures depending on the complexity of the subject matter. The ability to render the finest details in this very small scale make these tiny masterpieces highly collectable.
