I walk a lot in my neighborhood, Avondale. The beauty and variety of the trees always amazes me. My favorite are trees during the cold winter months. I love when they are stripped of their leaves, down to nothing but the soul of the tree. Twisting, gnashing, and changing ever so quietly, at least to the human eye and ear. They are silent but will speak if you give them a chance to reveal themselves I try to interpret their stories through movement and color.

Trees have been my major subject matter for the past year. I work almost exclusively with oil and I use canvas, wood and Masonite to create my work. I have a BFA from Auburn with a concentration in painting.
