Claire Cormany is a Southern artist who is known for loose abstracts that draw a personal reaction from viewers about their own associations with landscape & color. Textural application of paint using brushes, knives, tools & hands in multiple layers create depth, tone & shape in her works. After earning a degree in Art/Graphic Design with a concentration in painting from Samford University, Cormany made her home in Birmingham, producing works for local interior designers, galleries & clients throughout the Southeast. Her paintings have been featured in publications including Southern Living & Coastal Living, private shows and juried art festivals including Magic City Art Connection, Naples Festival of the Arts, Brookgreen Gardens Art Festival, Bluff Park Art Festival & Fairhope Art Festival.
