Alli McAfee is the self taught artist of Bower Bird Creations.

Her work is a love letter to nature and old world folklore – her main subjects. As a child, a profound love for literature inspired her to write plays and short stories for which she would create costumes and illustrations. This early exploration of merging art and literature became an intrinsic part of her creative process.

While she creates work in a variety of mediums, her true passion lies with watercolor for its diversity. Her work uses unique and whimsical color palettes with murky undertones, and is often embellished with gold accents and moss.
