Anna Mitchell is a watercolorist originally from Birmingham, AL. She earned her bachelor’s degree in fine art at Troy University. She loves being out of doors, from hiking and kayaking to simply taking walks. The abundance of nature is a constant source of inspiration for her watercolor work. She and her husband currently live in Troy where she works out of her home. In a world that is often utilitarian, Anna finds inspiration in the extravagant, abundant, even wasteful beauty found in creation. Her watercolor work delights in and highlights moments we often take for granted. She finds that the delicacy and transparency of watercolor lends itself well to the sense of fleeting and fragile beauty she attempts to capture.
