As a mixed media artist, I explore the rich intersection between contemporary culture and classical techniques, creating work that bridges time and emotion. Central to my practice is the figure of the skeleton—a powerful symbol I use to express universal human experiences. Stripped of identity, race, gender, and status, skeletons reveal our shared vulnerability, reminding us of the impermanence and interconnectedness of life.By juxtaposing pop culture imagery with time-honored artistic methods, I challenge the viewer to see the familiar in unfamiliar ways.
Texture is a vital element in my work, adding depth and physical presence that invites touch and closer inspection. Each layer, each surface distortion, becomes part of the story—a tactile echo of the complexity beneath our facades.Through this fusion of form and content, I aim to create art that feels both immediate and timeless, humorous yet haunting, always circling back to what makes us human.
