I grew up in California with an early interest in art, as I was surrounded by the paintings of my mother, who was, and is, an accomplished artist. But I followed in my father’s footsteps, who was an aerospace engineer, and devoted my life to scientific research and teaching, including 20 years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham as Associate Professor of Immunology. As a recent retiree, I am finally following in my mother’s footsteps, pursuing my passion for artistic expression. I enjoy painting landscapes, portraits of people and pets. I have participated in workshops in Los Angeles, CA and Birmingham, AL. My work has received recognition at Art Fairs and chosen for gallery display. I appreciate being part of the Alabama art community, which has been instrumental to my artistic growth. I am a member of CAAG and APAA.
