I am excited by what I see, and my goal is to interpret it in a way that touches the viewers’ emotion, as it had mine. It’s about color, value and light, and telling a story, often using underpaintings in watercolor, ink, pastel/alcohol, gouache and artgraf/water. Pastels are pure pigment in stick form, and I am able to accomplish texture and value with ease. My style is impressionistic realism.
