Marysia Galbraith is a potter and cultural anthropologist who lives in Northport, Alabama. She decorates her work with carved or stamped designs evocative of Arts and Crafts interpretations of the natural world. She makes her own glazes, experimenting with ingredient ratios until she finds the best colors and surfaces to accentuate her carving. Her work is featured at the Kentuck Gallery in Northport and Ernest and Hadley in Tuscaloosa, and she does art festivals including Kentuck, Panoply, and Birmingham ArtWalk. In 2025, she received an award of merit at the Panoply Festival, in 2022 she received the Pat Flynn Kyser Best of Show Award at Panoply, and in 2018 she was recognized as a top 25 artist at Birmingham ArtWalk.
