Max Hudson is a Birmingham-based artist using digital illustration, found materials, and an embodied studio practice to depict the layered histories of place, nature, family, and self. He is pursuing a BFA in Studio Arts at the University of Alabama with a concentration in digital media. Max is also currently interning at The Old Bailey Gallery in Birmingham, and he will begin serving as the student manager of UA’s Sella-Granata Gallery in the fall of 2026. Max has exhibited across the state in exhibitions and festivals, and was recently recognized with a signature award at the 2026 Magic City Art Connection, as well as the Best in Painting distinction at the Robin Nance Metz Art Competition.
