I’m an artist and teacher from the Birmingham area, and I graduated with a BS in the Fine Arts and a M.Ed. in Fine Arts from the University of Montevallo. I currently teach Art I-IV and AP Studio Art as well as a service based art club. I primarily work in mixed media with a focus on painting, and have had pieces shown at the SCAC gallery in Columbiana, AL. I would love to do more, but teaching is no joke and my new obsession is doing murals with my kiddos. Two of our murals are featured on Main Street in Columbiana and our third is a 50 foot undertaking in the courtyard of SCHS. I have also participated in Birmingham’s Art Walk for multiple years and plan on doing so as long as they will have me. Who doesn’t love a good art festival?
