Hammock creates drawings that merge scientific illustration with surrealism. Her work explores themes of visual similarities in nature. She creates these works mainly with pen, and watercolor. Many of her works utilize optical illusions, in which she will draw the shape of her subject, and fill in the outline with smaller illustrations. This creates a game for the viewer to find all the smaller hidden drawings in the bigger picture.
