Rushton Waltchack is a self-taught abstract artist from Birmingham, Alabama. She specializes in alcohol ink. Rushton comes from a long line of artists going back to her great-great-great grandmother. Rushton finds inspiration in the beauty of nature. She was drawn to the vibrancy of alcohol ink and loves experimenting with expanding the possibilities with her inks. Rushton has always looked for beauty amid the chaos of life which has translated into a love for creating abstract pieces of art. She is particularly known for her whimsical flowers. Rushton’s love and excitement for life are reflected by her bold choices in color and her unique abstract style. Rushton’s work was featured for 3 years at The Art Gallery at the Grand Bohemian in Mountain Brook, Alabama but she recently moved to Tricia’s Treasures in Homewood. She can also be found at the The Gallery by Andiamo Lodge in Mentone, Alabama and online @Rushton_Art
