Sam Roberts(they/them) was born and raised in Birmingham Alabama. Art has been their passion from a young age. As a neurodivergent artist creating allows Sam to process, connect, and research and understand conceptual topics at a deeper level. They received their BFA from UAB in 2024 and have been an active artist in Birmingham since they were a teenager. You may have seen Sam locally at a markets performing live portrait drawings, at various galleries downtown, teaching workshops, or just out and about supporting other local creatives. Sam is an interdisciplinary artist with an interest in drawing and painting, process based art, textiles, and mixed media art. At every market Sam brings a different set of original art, prints, stickers, and even wearables including upcycled, solar printed, and/or embroidered clothing.
