Sam Roberts is a local artist from Birmingham. While attending UAB for their Bachelors of Fine Art, Sam also works in various capacities through markets, gallery work, and other gig work. While they create a variety of works, many of their concepts tie back into observing humans and figurative work. By exploring themes related to the body, mind, and the interconnectedness between them, Sam delves into learning more about connections with themselves and others. Connecting with people hasn’t always been easy, and art is a vehicle to communicate, advocate, and talk about things. Sam participates in various markets in Birmingham and offers live 5 minute drawings and a rotation of prints, original art, gouache paintings, drawings, jewelry, and other things.
