I am a wife, mother of three, and co – owner of Makebhm. I started painting three years ago to give myself and my fiber pieces a louder voice. I capture on canvas ideas, experiences, and stories bound within my fiber projects. The yarn itself has an origin story, and the act of knitting marks the passage of time. As I work on and wear a piece, my experiences are knitted into the fabric and are intertwined with the yarn’s own story.  The knitted pieces are  vessels, holding stories and experiences, for a specific period of time, for later introspection. The fibers link ideas and experiences I continue to explore on canvas.
