Stacey Brown
Medium: Mixed Media
Location: TBD
Stacey Brown is a contemporary visual artist based in Atlanta, Georgia, originally from Murfreesboro, North Carolina. A graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, he began his career in graphic design before returning to his passion for fine art. Brown is widely known for his vibrant acrylic paintings on glass and expressive watercolor works on paper, earning him the nickname “The Glass Man.”
His work explores African American identity, resilience, and cultural memory through bold color, dynamic composition, and layered materials. Glass plays a central role in his practice, serving as both surface and metaphor. In his Broken Glass series, fractured shards are reassembled into striking compositions, reflecting the idea that brokenness can still hold beauty, strength, and meaning. Light interacting with the glass shifts color and depth, reinforcing themes of transformation and restoration.
Brown’s work has appeared in television and film productions and is exhibited in galleries and art festivals across the United States.
