The desire to create has been with me since childhood. I never received training in the arts and my formal education primarily concentrated in the sciences. My creative experience has essentially come from trial and error, observation, and learning from others.
My work is merely something that I love to do – a passion that has guided me over the course of my life. I use what I create as a balance between honest reality and the unattainable utopia that exists in my mind.
I often try to capture a moment or an event as I perceive, feel, or experience it. Many times what I see – how I envision a moment – greatly deviates from what may exist to others. My work serves to create a lasting representation of something that I personally felt or experienced.
